John Hardee was born on December 20, 1918, in Corsicana, Texas, and was an American tenor saxophonist. He began his musical journey touring with Don Albert from 1937 to 1938, while he was in college. After graduation and military service, he returned to music in 1946, working with Tiny Grimes and performing at New York's Club 845. His discography includes Tenor Sax (1946) and A Little Blue (1999). He recorded approximately 18 tracks under his own name by 1948. In the early 1950s, he focused on education while continuing to play with local formations in Dallas. He passed away on May 18, 1984.
