New album "Lamentations for Solo Guitar" to be released in March!
Before watching Star Wars, Matheus never knew that music could evoke so much emotion and change. He then realized art had the power to make an impact in the world. He had to give it a try. Matheus started playing guitar and bass in his childhood, later becoming a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer. He currently plays with progressive acts Opus V, The Vicious Head Society and The Non-Playable Characters; and, over the years, worked on more than 200 releases from various artists. In 2014, Matheus released his first solo album Illusions Dimension, described as “one of the great progressive releases of the year” in international reviews. In 2018, Selections from Notevember 2018 was released, collecting short and experimental pieces Matheus created from scratch to finish on a single day. And in 2023, Matheus released Unrelenting Mimesis - an unique celebration of the videogame soundtracks that influenced him the most. Now, Matheus is releasing the “Lamentations for Solo Guitar”, a collection of introspective pieces that offer beautifully melancholic soundscapes played on a single clean guitar.
