Barbara D'Alessandro, otherwise known by her pseudonym Pietra Montecorvino, is an Italian singer and actress. She adopted her stage name from the town of Pietramontecorvino in the Province of Foggia. In 1988, she released her first single, “Una Città Che Cola/Tutta Pe’ Mme,” followed by her debut album Segnorita (1991), written by Eugenio and Edoardo Bennato, for which she received the Targa Tenco award for Best Performer of the Year. In 1992, she participated in the Sanremo Music Festival with “Favola Blues” alongside Peppino di Capri. She has collaborated with artists including Angelo Branduardi and Franco Battiato. Her later albums include Napoli Mediterranea (2003) and Pietra A Metà (2015).
