Harris Eisenstadt, born in 1975 in Toronto, Ontario, is a Canadian jazz drummer, percussionist, composer, and bandleader. He earned degrees from Colby College and the California Institute of the Arts, studying under figures like Barry Altschul and Wadada Leo Smith. Eisenstadt's career included the formation of the Ahimsa Orchestra and the Creative Orchestra of Los Angeles (KOLA) with saxophonist Jason Mears. In 2003, he premiered his three-part suite Non-Violence in Brooklyn. He has led ensembles like Canada Day and Guewel, and collaborated with artists such as Sara Schoenbeck and Taylor Ho Bynum. Eisenstadt has also received several awards including the Durfee Foundation Grant (2004). Notable albums include Canada Day II (2011) and Old Growth Forest (2016).
