Sons of Serendip, a classical crossover ensemble consisting of Kendall Ramseur (cellist), Cordaro Rodriguez (pianist), Mason Morton (harpist), and Micah Christian (lead vocalist), met in graduate school at Boston University and formed in 2014 specifically to compete on America's Got Talent. Their breakthrough came when they finished fourth on the ninth season of America's Got Talent in 2014, performing "Drops of Jupiter" with Train. They released their self-titled debut album in January 2015, which reached number 4 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. The group has performed at venues such as Boston's Symphony Hall and collaborated with orchestras including the Boston Pops and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. They also appeared on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2019, performing "Somewhere Only We Know" and finishing in the top three for the episode.
