Kien Rennise Nde, known professionally as Reniss, was born on April 24, 1988, in Bamenda, Cameroon. She is a singer and songwriter who began her musical journey at the age of 13, actively participating in church choirs. Reniss's early career saw her collaborating with Cameroonian rapper and producer Jovi, releasing her first singles "Fire" (2011) and "Holy Wata" (2012). Her breakthrough came with the release of her EP Afrikan Luv (2013), which blended electronic rhythms with African pop. Reniss gained significant popularity in Cameroon after featuring on Jovi's song "B.A.S.T.A.R.D." (January 2014) and released her debut album Tendon (October 2016). Her international recognition grew with the release of "La Sauce" (May 2016), which garnered over two million views in six months. Reniss's second solo album, Nzo, was published on May 1, 2020, featuring tracks like "Commando" and "Mbeng et le Feu Sort."
