Hülya Avşar, born on October 10, 1963, in Balıkesir, Turkey, is a Turkish actress and singer. She began her career as an actress in the early 1980s, making her debut in the film Haram. Her breakthrough moment came in 1982 when she won a beauty contest in Istanbul, which garnered significant media attention despite the controversy surrounding her marital status at the time. She released several albums throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, including Herşey Gönlünce Olsun (1989) and Hatırlarmısın (1990). Her notable songs include "Ah Be Güzelim" (1998) and "Sevdim" (2000). Avşar won the silver St. George award for Best Actress at the Moscow International Film Festival in 1993 for her role in Berlin in Berlin.
