Christine Pilzer is a French singer and fashion designer who was born as Christine Van den Haute in 1942 in Nice. She studied arts and fashion design before beginning a music career at the Maison de la Radio, where she co-hosted the program Les Ardugos. Pilzer signed with Vogue Records through the producer Michel Delancray and released her debut EP, Dracula, in 1966. The title track, “Dracula” (1966), was based on a childhood game, and the recording also featured the song “L'horloge de grand-père” (1966). In 1967, she performed as an opening act for the singer Antoine during a tour of France and Belgium with the group The Sharks. She released a second EP, Café crème, (1967) which included the tracks “Ah-hem-ho-uh-errrr...” (1967) and “Mon p'tit homme spatial” (1967). Pilzer retired from the music industry shortly thereafter to focus on fashion design under her birth name.
