Born in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, African rapper Amzy, whose real name is Hamza Ganem, began taking part in hip-hop competitions in 2009. Forging his musical identity little by little, he only released his first track in 2015. Entitled "Controverse", it remained isolated in the artist's discography until the release of "Ton le nerve " in 2018. This marked the real launch of Amzy's career, leading to a debut album in 2019, Insurrection. Noticed by a wider audience, he was rewarded with the Kundé de la révélation in 2019, and Best Emerging Artist at FAMA 2019, then Best Artist of the Year at FAMA 2021, after having released two EPs in the space of a year and a half, Unplugged: Act 1, and Unplugged: Act 2, and above all the album Ma Mission in 2021. This 12-track album, featuring collaborations with Serge Beynaud, Greg Burkimbila, Kayawoto and Young CED, consolidated his place on the Afro-rap scene. At the beginning of 2023, he continued his journey with the single "Rounda".
