Mexican-born DJ Carlos Lopez, aka Los XL, is based in Washington D.C., USA. Influenced by his Latin culture and taste for club house music, he marries different sounds with a strong dominance of tropical rhythms, moombathon, bachata, future bass and drum'n'bass. He began releasing his first singles in 2015 and collaborated with Snappy Jit on the track "Big Phat" and other artists, DJs and singers, before appearing on producer Diplo 's Diplo and Friends mixtape in 2015, for the track "Dame Eso" with Trapzillas. Numerous singles followed, including "Mirame" in 2017, "Shake That" and "Give It to Me" in 2019 and "Tequila" in 2020, as well as his first collaborations with Mannie D Cruz, whom he reunited with for "La Loteria" and the viral hit "Siente el Calor " in 2022. That same year, Los XL produced the En Fuego EP with Jefferson D Lion, followed by its remixed version En Fuego Remixes in 2023.
