Jude Lemfani Abaga, known professionally as M.I. Abaga, was born on October 4, 1981, in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, is a rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He gained recognition with his song "Crowd Mentality" in 2008. After studying Business and Economics at Calvin College, Michigan, he released his debut studio album Talk About It in 2008, which won him Musician of the Year at the Modemen Awards and Best Hip Hop Artist at the City People Entertainment Awards. His sophomore album, MI2 The Movie, was released in 2010 and featured notable songs such as "Undisputed" and "Action Film". M.I. Abaga won Lyricist on the Roll at The Headies in 2008 and Best Hip-Hop Artist at the MTV Africa Music Awards in 2009.
