Bass-T was the professional name of German DJ and music producer Sebastian Göckede, born on February 11, 1979. He began his career as a resident DJ in northern German clubs before collaborating with Sven Gruhnwald as SveN-R-G. In 2000, Göckede joined Aqualoop Records and served as the primary producer for the group Topmodelz. He released his first solo recording, “Here Comes That Sound (Alright)”, in 2002. Throughout his career, he performed under various pseudonyms, including Bastian Bates, Sebastian E.C.O., and The Raving Snowman. He was also a member of the duo Rocco & Bass-T. His solo discography included the recordings P.O.W.E.R. (2004) and “Check This!” (2006). Göckede died of a heart attack on July 9, 2013, at age 34. The posthumous single “Shine Your Light”, released by Bass-T & Friends in 2013, reached number 61 on the Austrian sales charts.
