Josh O is not afraid to push the artistic boundaries of the human voice. With the help of a loop station, he uses singing, beatboxing, and modulation effects to create a groovy, harmonic sound that blends elements of EDM, pop, and jazz. All of his compositions are swiftly layered in real time, without a need for pre-recorded tracks.
He has been extensively involved in the competitive beatboxing community since 2020, performing and ranking high among top artists in beatboxing events across the U.S. and overseas. In 2021, Josh was selected to test the prototype for the BOSS RC-505mkII loop station and perform with it in a highly viewed video event and album as part of Swissbeatbox’s “Kickback Battle”. He recently competed in the prestigious Grand Beatbox Battle 2023 in the “Loopstation” category, representing the United States with a Top 8 placement out of over a hundred entries.
Josh has no plans to stop this momentum, and he continues to improve his craft and inspire others with his artistry.
