Soraï is a queer Montreal artist and beat-maker who brings a breath of fresh air to the current hip-hop scene, thanks to their assertive artistic identity, their original musicality, their sophisticated visual aesthetic and their intelligent, erotic and playful pen. Proud to take charge of every stage of their creative process — from writing to production — they fashion their own musical universe alone in their studio.
In April 2023, Soraï confidently unveiled their first single, “Pansements”, an atypical rap song with a disjointed flow and beat. In September, the artist presented “Pas d'humeur”, a mix of trap-based rap, bossa nova guitar and synthesizers, which earned them the title of iHeartRadio Future Star for the Month of October on Rouge FM. Then, Soraï reveals “Caramel”, a collaboration with Montreal queer artist Xela Edna, followed on January 26, 2024, by the last single before the album's release, “Wasabi”, a collaboration with La Monarque.
Soraï's debut album makes a real impact with its sophisticated musicality and strong artistic personality.
