Hateful Monday, a Swiss punk rock band from Geneva, was formed in 1998 by Reverend Seb and Igor Gonzola. The duo released early demos such as Do You Have the Same but in Pants in 2000 and Don't Ask Questions in 2001. In 2001, Gr3g Laraigne joined on guitar, followed by M. Fallan in 2004. Their first album, Take a Breath, was released in 2004. The band gained traction with subsequent albums like The Last March of the Ignorants (2006) and Half a World Away (2008), which were well-received in Europe and Japan. In 2014, they released It Must Be Somewhere, solidifying their position on the European punk rock scene. The band toured extensively across Europe and France. Their 2017 album Unfrightened featured new guitarist Jeanrem. They subsequently released the EP Pit Stop Punk Rock in 2019 and a live album in 2020.
