Akissforjersey, an American post-hardcore band from Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, formed in July 2004. The group initially consisted of vocalist Zach Dawson, drummer Joey Allen, guitarists Tyler Lucas, Cory Wood, and Anthony Thigpen, and bassist Matt Hall. Their debut studio album, Keep Your Head Above the Water, was released in August 2006, through Tragic Hero Records. The band's second album, Victims, followed in 2008, also via Tragic Hero Records. In early 2009, Akissforjersey disbanded but reformed on December 24 of the same year. They signed to inVogue Records and released their third album, New Bodies, on January 21, 2014, which marked their breakthrough onto the Billboard magazine charts, peaking at position 26 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. The band has performed at notable events such as the Scream the Prayer Tour and toured with acts like War of Ages and Oh, Sleeper.
