Bodies of Water is an American indie rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2003. The group was centered on David Metcalf and Meredith Metcalf, who performed with additional musicians such as drummer Noah Smith and bassist Kyle Gladden. The band released the debut EP Bodies of Water in 2005. Their first full-length album, Ears Will Pop & Eyes Will Blink, was released on their Thousand Tongues label in 2007 before being reissued by Secretly Canadian in January 2008.The group released the album A Certain Feeling in July 2008. Their discography subsequently included the albums Twist Again (2011), Spear in the City (2017), Is This What It's Like (2021), and The Journey Is Our Home (2024). Music critics compared their style to that of Ennio Morricone and Arcade Fire.
