Oakley Hall is an American folk rock band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2002 and named after novelist Oakley Hall. The ensemble includes Patrick Sullivan and Rachel Cox, whose music combines elements of rock, bluegrass, and old-time music. The group's debut EP, Sweet & Low, was self-released in 2003. Their first studio album, Oakley Hall, was released in 2005 on Bulb Records. Following the dissolution of the label, the band released the albums Second Guessing and Gypsum Strings in 2006 through Amish Records and Brah Records. The group toured the United States, Canada, and Europe before signing to Merge Records in 2007. Their fourth album, I'll Follow You, was released in September 2007 and appeared on year-end lists for publications including Time Out and the Washington Post. In January 2008, the band performed a version of the song “She Belongs to Me” at the New York Guitar Festival.
