Rollerskate Skinny was an Irish band formed in Dublin, Ireland, in 1992 by Ken Griffin, Ger Griffin, Steve Murray, and later Jimi Shields. Their debut EP, Novice, was released in 1992, followed by their first album, Shoulder Voices (1993). They were named in NME’s "Top Ten New Bands of the Year" and signed to Beggars Banquet offshoot label Placebo. The band toured with notable acts such as Mercury Rev and Smashing Pumpkins, and joined Perry Farrell's Lollapalooza tour (1994). Their second album, Horsedrawn Wishes (1996), was released under WEA after Shields was asked to leave the band. Rollerskate Skinny disbanded shortly thereafter.
