Boris Uran, born on September 30, 1983, in Villach, Austria, is an Austrian pop singer. He began his musical journey at age eight with piano lessons and later taught himself to play the drums and guitar. His breakthrough came when he reached third place in the first season of Starmania. In 2003, Uran released his debut single "Manchmal" followed by his first album Ich that same year under Universal Music. In 2004, he received the Goldene Romy for the Most Popular Male Newcomer and was nominated twice for an Amadeus Austrian Music Award. Uran also hosted the ORF show Play Music that same year. After taking a hiatus due to personal health issues, including a depression that led him to seek treatment in a psychiatric clinic, Boris Uran returned to music in 2022 as part of the trio Orange Sun, releasing the album Bridges.
