Jean-Émile Biayenda, known as Goldfinger, was born on May 5, 1965, in Brazzaville, Congo. He is a Congolese jazz percussionist who began performing with traditional drums and modern percussion instruments in 1982. Biayenda had moved to Porto Negre to refine his skills and returned to Brazzaville in 1986 to focus on jazz. Collaborations with artists such as Ziggy Marley and Alvin Queen led to invitations for festivals and concerts in France. In 1991, he established a percussion workshop in Brazzaville that evolved into the permanent group Les Tambours de Brazza. The group achieved significant success, touring internationally across Africa, Europe, and America. Their debut album, Congo Drums, was released in 1996.
