Carlota Flâneur rose in 2020 with her debut EP, Brains, in which her ability to combine brilliant melodies with emotionally charged lyrics without filter was palpable. In Uncertainty, her debut album, she took her universe a step further, and, with Ferran Palau on production, consolidated a colorful work which comprised sing-along, full-of-warmth choruses. In 2024, she released Relate: a single composed with Marta Knight and produced by Núria Graham, featuring drum machines and layers of synthesizers that unite the voices of the three Catalan artists.
After following a path through the most luminous pop genres, Carlota Flâneur presents What my body wants: an album that straddles between light and shadow, full of harmonies and textures that are appropriately placed to give a new form to Flâneur's already recognizable compositions.
What my body wants has been produced by Emili Bosch (b1n0), who has elevated the Barcelona native's songs with thoughtful rhythmic patterns and carefully crafted melodic arrangements that are as moving as the lyrics.
This is further proof of Flâneur's ability to create songs that, besides bordering on pop perfection, exude an unmistakable personality.
