Luis Alberto Dubuc Jr. was born on January 28, 1985, in Venezuela, and later moved to Dallas, Texas. He is an American DJ, musician, singer-songwriter, record producer, and former drummer. In 2004, he released his first full-length album, Antarctica, under the moniker The Secret Handshake. The group gained traction with subsequent releases such as the EP, This is Bigger Than You and I, followed by their debut studio album, One Full Year. Their third album, My Name Up in Lights, reached number 17 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and number 45 on the Independent Albums chart in 2009. The Secret Handshake toured extensively, including performances with bands like You Me At Six and Mayday Parade. Their fourth studio album, Night & Day, was released in 2010. In 2011, Dubuc retired The Secret Handshake name.
