Anne-Marie Aspelund, also known as Ami Aspelund, born on September 7, 1953, in Vaasa, Finland, is a Finnish singer. She began her music career with the release of her first single "Apinamies" in 1973, which was a Finnish version of Jungle Jim's "Big Fat Orang Uman". Aspelund participated in several notable competitions, including the Rostock Festival in 1981 and the Eurovision Song Contest 1983. Her debut album, Ami, was released in 1974. Throughout her career, she released numerous albums such as Sinilintu (1978) and Tänään huipulla (1982). Aspelund's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 1983 with "Fantasiaa" marked a significant milestone, finishing in eleventh place with forty-one points. She also entered the Knokke Song Contest in 1985. Her discography includes both Finnish and Swedish-language albums, showcasing her versatility as an artist.
