DMZ was an American punk rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1975. The group featured Jeff Conolly on vocals and keyboards, Rick Coraccio on bass guitar, Peter Greenberg on lead guitar, Jack Hickey on guitar, Mike Lewis on bass guitar, Mike "Drums" Lewis on drums, Paul Murphy on drums, J.J. Rassler on guitar, David Robinson on drums, Adam Schwartz as the original lead singer, and John Smith on drums. Conolly joined in 1976, bringing original songs and an electric piano to their repertoire. In 1977, DMZ recorded four songs with Craig Leon, released by Bomp! Records on a seven-inch vinyl EP. In 1978, they signed with Sire Records and released their debut album DMZ, produced by Flo & Eddie. Despite the album's release, the band disbanded later that same year. Notable songs include “Mighty Idy” and “Bad Attitude”.
