Wolf Eyes is an American noise rock band originating from Detroit, Michigan, formed as a solo project by Nate Young in 1996. Young, formerly of Nautical Almanac, initially began Wolf Eyes before Aaron Dilloway joined in 1998 and John Olson became a member in 2000. The group's prolific output includes over 150 recordings, beginning with the cassette release Wolf Eyes in 1997. Their early works, such as Heatwave (1998) and Technical Difficulties (2001), established their raw and experimental sound. Notable collaborations include work with Andrew W.K., who contributed to several releases like the split album Fortune Dove (2000). In 2005, Aaron Dilloway left Wolf Eyes, leading to Mike Connelly of Hair Police joining the band for subsequent albums such as Human Animal (2006). The group continued to tour extensively and release numerous albums. Notable works include Black Vomit (2006) and Man Made Hell (2007), showcasing their enduring influence in the noise rock genre.
