James Angelo Aparo, known professionally as Angie Aparo, is an American singer-songwriter born in 1960 in Atlanta. He performed with the group Angie's Hope in the early 1990s before beginning a solo career. In 1996, Aparo released his debut studio album, Out of the Everywhere. He followed this in 1999 with the album The American, which featured the single “Spaceship” and his original version of the song “Cry”, which was recorded by Faith Hill. Aparo released the independent recording Weapon of Mass Construction in 2001, which was re-released as One With the Sun. His discography continued with For Stars and Moon (2003), 9Live (2004), and Praise Be (2006). In 2009, he collaborated with the Zac Brown Band on the recording “Junkyard”. Following a stroke in 2016, Aparo released the album Life Is a Flower, Life Is a Gun in 2018.
