Shibusashirazu is a Japanese jazz orchestra established in 1989. The ensemble was founded by the bassist Daisuke Fuwa. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by the combination of free jazz, rock, and punk. Shibusashirazu achieved professional recognition for including many jazz musicians, Butoh dancers, and performance artists in the orchestra. Their solo recording career began with the debut live recording Shibusamichi (1993) and the live recording Dettaramen (1993). Their discography included the live recording Something Different (1994) and the studio recording Be Cool (1995). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the live recording Shibusai (1997) and the live recording On Stage at Amsterdam (1999). Shibusashirazu achieved professional recognition for performing four consecutive times at the Fuji Rock Festival starting in 2000. They achieved professional recognition for performing at the Glastonbury Festival in 2002 and 2016. Their discography included the live recording Shibu-Hata (2002) and the studio recording Shibuboshi (2004). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for signing with the label Avex Trax in 2007. Their recording career included the studio recording Shibusaikayoutaizen (2014).
