A multi-talented solo artist, television actor, and former member of the Taiwanese boy band Fahrenheit, Jiro Wang was born in Taipei on August 24, 1981. He spent his early twenties performing with the underground rock band Dong Cheng Wei, working as a fashion model, and starring in television series like The Pawnshop No. 8. He then joined the Cantopop band Fahrenheit in 2005, scoring a number of hits with the group throughout the remainder of the decade. While remaining a member of Fahrenheit, Jiro Wang continued to enjoy success as an actor, often making appearances on his projects' hit soundtracks as a solo artist. His solo debut, What Are You Waiting For, was released in 2012, the same year in which Fahrenheit embarked upon an indefinite hiatus. What Are You Waiting For contained several tracks that also appeared on the soundtracks of television shows like Drama Go! Go! Go!, Absolute Boyfriend, and The Purple House. One year later, he contributed five songs to the soundtrack of Fabulous Boys and was named "Best New Artist" at the China Mengniu Billboard Music Awards. Jiro Wang continued juggling his intersecting careers as an actor and musician for the rest of the decade, then continued releasing solo material during the 2020s with hit songs like "Go For Love Faraway" and "I Love You."
