An Youqi, born on October 14, 1982 in Harbin, China, is a singer who rose to prominence through her participation in Super Girl, a national singing contest. At the age of 22, An began training as a dancer but later shifted her focus to singing, performing in pubs before being discovered by talent agents. In 2004, she won the first season of Super Girl and subsequently signed with EE Media, releasing her debut album Angela, which sold over one million copies in mainland China. Her second album, "谈情说爱" (Talk About Love), released in 2006 under Avex Trax, marked her as the first mainland Chinese singer to sign with a Japanese label. After a five-year hiatus, An returned with the EP 因瞰朵 (Incanto) in 2011 and later released her third album MISS安 (Miss An) in 2012 under Warner Music.
