Ligeia was an American metalcore band from Massachusetts, formed in 2003 by Keith Holuk and Ryan Ober. The band solidified their lineup with Brandon Whipple and Patrick Murphy in 2007. Ligeia's debut album, Your Ghost Is a Gift (2006), was produced by Ken Susi of Unearth and released on Ferret Music. Their second album, Bad News, followed on Ferret Records in 2008. Known for their DIY ethic and extensive touring, Ligeia performed over 600 shows, including notable tours with bands such as The Acacia Strain and Misery Signals. The band disbanded in 2009, but their hiatus ended as they reunited in 2010 and released a completely free EP titled Welcome to Palm City (2011).
