Raunchy, a Danish metal band formed in 1992, was founded by Jesper Tilsted, Jesper Kvist, and Morten Toft Hansen. The group initially played covers of bands like Metallica and Slayer before recording their first demo in 1995. Raunchy's breakthrough came with the release of Velvet Noise in 2001, which was well-received by the press and led to a contract with Nuclear Blast. The band gained significant attention with their cover of "Last Christmas" and the single "Decemberklar", both produced by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studios. In 2004, they released Confusion Bay and performed at major festivals like Wacken Open Air. Raunchy continued to release albums including Death Pop Romance (2006), Wasteland Discotheque (2008), and A Discord Electric (2010). In 2013, Kasper Thomsen left the band, and Mike Semesky joined as the new vocalist. Their sixth studio album, Vices. Virtues. Visions., was released in November 2014.
