The Riverboat Gamblers, an American punk rock band from Denton, Texas, formed in 1997. The original lineup included Fadi El-Assad (Freddy Castro) on lead guitar, Patrick Lillard (Spider Stewart) on bass, and Mike Wiebe (Rookie Sensation) as the vocalist. They began performing at local house shows. Their debut self-titled album was released in 2001 on Vile Beat Records. The band gained significant attention after their performance at the 2003 South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival in Austin, Texas, leading to a signing with Gearhead Records and the release of Something To Crow About in June of the same year. The Riverboat Gamblers toured extensively and signed to Volcom Entertainment in April 2005. Their fourth album, To The Confusion Of Our Enemies, was released in 2006. Notable releases include Underneath The Owl (2009) and The Wolf You Feed (2012).
