Charge 69 is a French punk rock band from Metz, formed in 1993. The group included Caps, bassist of PKRK, and Laurent from Skaferlatine, with guitarist Spirou of Molodoï initially joining the lineup. Beginning as a cover band influenced by UK Subs, Cockney Rejects, and Stiff Little Fingers, Charge 69 developed a street punk sound of their own. They released their debut EP Patchwork in 1996, followed by albums including Apparence Jugée (1997), Vos lois ne sont pas nos règles (2000), Univers sale (2003), and Conflit interne (2007). The band became a notable name in the French punk scene and built an international following, particularly in Germany.
