One Dove, a Scottish electronic music group, was formed in 1991 and consisted of Dot Allison, Ian Carmichael, and Jim McKinven. Originally known as Dove, the trio released their debut single "Fallen" on the Glasgow-based label Soma in October 1991, which became a significant club hit. The following year, they changed their name to One Dove to avoid confusion with another group and signed with Junior Boy's Own label. Their first release under this new name was a re-recorded version of "Fallen", produced by Andrew Weatherall, which garnered attention from the British music press. However, the single was withdrawn due to unlicensed sampling issues. The group continued to gain critical acclaim with releases like "Transient Truth" and "White Love". In 1993, One Dove released their only studio album Morning Dove White, which included remixes by Stephen Hague and William Orbit. The album peaked at Number 30 on the UK charts. Notable singles from this period include "Breakdown", which reached Number 24 in the UK, and "Why Don't You Take Me", which peaked at Number 30. Despite their success, internal disputes and industry politics led to the group's disbandment midway through recording sessions for a second album. One Dove disbanded in 1996.
