Point Break, a British pop group formed in 1999, originated from England. The band initially consisted of Brett Adams and David "Ollie" Oliver, who performed under the name Aurora in local schools and clubs. They later changed their name to Point Break after securing a record deal with Warner Music. Declan Bennett joined the group when original member Jonathan Newman had to quit due to illness. The band featured both Brett Adams and David Oliver, who had acted in the television series Byker Grove, and later included American members Dustin Strong and Nicol Lampert as singers and songwriters. Point Break released their debut album Apocadelic in August 2000, which was followed by two singles: "Freakytime" and "You", released in the same year. The group achieved significant chart success with five UK hit singles within a year of their formation. Point Break was managed by Danielle Barnett and signed to WEA Records. Despite their initial success, the band disbanded shortly after.
