June G. Preuss, known as June Panic, was an American singer-songwriter born in Grand Forks, North Dakota. June Panic began his music career in 1990, releasing early material on cassette tape under his own label, 3 Out of 4 Records. His breakthrough came when he signed with Bloomington, Indiana-based record label Secretly Canadian. June Panic's album Glory Hole, initially released in 1995 and reissued by Secretly Canadian in 1996 featured songs inspired by ancient Tibetan yogic practices. He toured extensively, including with the Impossible Shapes, Songs: Ohia, and Jens Lekman. Notable albums include The Fall Of Atom: A Thesis On Entropy (1998), Baby's Breadth (2002), and Hope You Fail Better (2003). In 2007, Secretly Canadian released his triple album Songs From Purgatory, which compiled material originally recorded on cassette between 1991 and 1996.
