Frigidaire Tango, an Italian new wave and indie rock band, was formed in Bassano del Grappa in 1980 by Carlo Casale and Stefano Dal Col. The group initially gained attention with their debut album The Cock, released in 1981 under Young Records. In 1983, they released the mini-LP Russian Dolls featuring notable songs "Recall" and "Vanity Fair", both accompanied by music videos. Frigidaire Tango toured extensively, including a collaboration with The Sound in 1983. Their documentary, L'ultimo concerto, directed by Piergiorgio Gay, was released in 1984. The band disbanded in 1986 due to internal conflicts and societal pressures. In 2007, they reunited and released The Freezer Box, a compilation featuring previously unreleased material. Their subsequent album, L'Illusione del volo, was released in October 2009 with notable collaborations including Federico Fiumani and Fabio Trentini.
