South Korean K-pop group X1 was formed in Seoul, South Korea in 2019 after winning the reality competition show Produce X 101. The group’s eleven members comprise Han Seung-woo, Cho Seung-youn, Kim Woo-seok, Kim Yo-han, Lee Han-gyul, Cha Jun-ho, Son Dong-pyo, Kang Min-hee, Lee Eun-sang, Song Hyeong-jun and Nam Do-hyo. They made their debut with the 2019 album Emergency: Quantum Leap, which garnered immense commercial success, breaking the record of the highest first week sales for a debut album in South Korea, seeing the album reach number 1 in South Korea and number 4 in Japan. The title track “FLASH”" peaked at number 26 on the charts, and other songs such as "Like Always”, "U GOT IT", "I'm Here for You" and "MOVE" also achieved chart success. Despite their undeniable potential, the group faced a scandal involving vote manipulation during the filming of Produce X 101 that led to their disbandment in early 2020. In June 2023, their hit single “FLASH” saw a resurgence in popularity, reaching number 35.
