Turn, an Irish indie rock band from Kells and Dublin, Ireland, formed in 1998 when lead singer and guitarist Ollie Cole and drummer Ian Melady teamed up with bass player Gavin Fox. They released several singles and gained traction through gigging, leading to their debut album, Antisocial (2000), under Infectious Records. Despite the label's lack of promotion, Turn continued touring and independently releasing music. Their second album, Forward (2003), charted at number 16 and became one of Ireland's most popular albums that year. The band faced lineup changes but produced their third album, Turn LP (2005), which was shortlisted for the Choice Music Prize and nominated for the Meteor Award. Turn disbanded in 2006 after announcing a final tour that never happened. Their music is featured in shows like One Tree Hill and Kyle XY, as well as the film Boy Eats Girl.
