Jacob Moon, born in Canada, is a folk singer and guitarist. He grew up in Kitchener-Waterloo and graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a B.A. (hon.) in music. His early career involved teaching guitar lessons while pursuing his musical aspirations. In 2002, Moon released his debut album Landing, which marked the beginning of his touring schedule across Canada and the United States. He is known for his solo performances featuring live looping. Notable collaborations include opening for artists such as Martyn Joseph and David Wilcox. In 2009, Jacob Moon's YouTube cover of Rush's "Subdivisions" went viral, earning him international recognition. He has released several albums, including Eventide (2005), The Loop (2008), and Fascination (2013).
