Giancarlo Toniutti is an Italian composer of electronic music. He began his career in the early 1980s, initially working with old analog synthesizers influenced by German electronic music improvisations. From 1982 to 1985, he studied electronic music at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice under Alvise Vidolin. Toniutti developed interests in visual arts, sound installations, natural acoustic phenomena, and the sonic manipulation of musical objects. In 1985, he released the album La Mutazione on Broken Flag.
