Finn Rees is an Australian pianist-composer celebrated for his dreamlike, jazz-inflected soundscapes. His debut album, Dawn Is a Melody (2024), released on Mr Bongo, drew acclaim for its spiritual and cinematic atmosphere, featuring glissando keys, harp, and lush melodies. In 2025, he released “Love In Memory” via Mr Bongo, a collaborative single with SHOLTO (Oscar Robertson). The track emerged from a spontaneous two-track recording session in London, where Finn Rees and SHOLTO bonded over shared musical sensibilities. They recorded “Love In Memory” and its B-side “Bluebell” over two days at SHOLTO’s SFJ Studios, using mostly analogue equipment—Wurlitzer, mellotron, ribbon microphones, and a vintage Studer tape desk. Also in 2025, Finn Rees made an appearance on the collaborative album Solina (featuring Joy Spheres Rees) with Hidden Spheres and Allysha Joy.
