Rachel Alejandro, born Rachel Jingco Alejandro in 1974 in Manila, Philippines, is a singer and actress. She began her showbiz career hosting That's Entertainment. Her debut album, Just a Minute (1989), featured the hit single "Mr. Kupido". Her second album, Watch Me Now!!! (1991), included a revival of her father Hajji Alejandro’s signature song "Nakapagtataka", earning her the Awit Award for Best Performance by a Female Recording Artist and the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Foundation Award for Best Female Singer/Entertainer. May Minamahal (1992) became her first platinum album with the award-winning single "Babalik-balikan". Alejandro won the Golden Stag International Song Festival in Brasov, Romania, for Best Interpretation of a Romanian Song. Her album Sentimental (1994) included the multi-awarded song "Paalam Na", co-written with Dingdong Avanzado. She released Tanging Pangarap (2001) under Viva Records and later produced her own album, Believe (2019).
