The Orchestre national d’Auvergne, later renamed Orchestre national Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in June 2023, is a French string ensemble founded in 1981 and based in Clermont-Ferrand. Initially directed by Jean-Louis Barbier from 1982 to 1984, the orchestra has since been led by notable conductors including Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Arie van Beek, Roberto Forés Veses, and Thomas Zehetmair. The ensemble's repertoire spans from baroque to contemporary music, with over 40 albums released under its own digital label OnA Live. In 2019, the orchestra received the National Orchestra in the Region designation. The Orchestre national Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes has performed internationally and within the Auvergne region, achieving over 400,000 streams in nearly 160 countries.
