Fields was an Anglo‑Icelandic electronic/indie group formed in London in 2006 by vocalist and guitarist Nick Peill, keyboardist Þórunn Antonía Magnúsdóttir, guitarist Jamie Putnam, drummer Henry Spenner, and bassist Matty Derham. Their first EP, 4 From The Village, was released on 10 July 2006, introducing the band’s blend of pop rock and electronic textures. On 20 November 2006 the single "If You Fail We All Fail" followed. In early 2007 they issued the single "Charming The Flames" and an acoustic version of the same track. On 2 April 2007 the debut album Everything Last Winter was released through Atlantic Records, produced by Michael Beinhorn at Sun Studios in Dublin. The album’s title track and "Song For The Fields" received moderate radio play. Fields toured with Wolfmother and Bloc Party, then headlined their own 2007 tour. After losing their record deal, the group disbanded in 2009, and no further releases followed.
