Error was an American digital hardcore band formed in 2003 by Atticus Ross and Brett Gurewitz. The group initially consisted of Atticus Ross, his brother Leopold Ross on drums, and Brett Gurewitz on guitar and bass. Greg Puciato from Dillinger Escape Plan contributed vocals for their debut EP, Error, released in January 2004 via Epitaph Records. This EP received positive reviews from the music press. The band also featured Joey Karam of The Locust on synthesizer for the track "Jack the Ripper". In 2005, Error recorded "Wild World" for a tribute album to The Birthday Party. By 2006, the group's future was uncertain, and in 2012, Greg Puciato confirmed that Error had disbanded. Despite this, they released two additional singles: Dirty Sky Ep (November 6, 2009) and "Hortif" (March 5, 2012).
