Pop duo Inker & Hamilton, consisting of Dave Inker and Hilary Hamilton, were formed in Munich. Before their collaboration, Inker worked as a guitarist and singer in various regional bands. Inker & Hamilton began their musical journey together in 1979 with the release of their self-produced debut album Highs and Lows. Their subsequent albums, Person to Person (1981) and Double Feature (1983), were released under Sony Music and the duo gained significant attention after releasing "The Mind and the Body" in 1984, following a successful European tour with Chris de Burgh. Inker & Hamilton's breakthrough came with their album Dancing into Danger, released in 1987 by WEA Records. Produced by Michael Cretu, the title track "Dancing into Danger", written by Hubert Kah, spent 15 weeks on the German single charts and peaked at number 19. The song was later covered by Maggie Reilly as "Every Single Heartbeat" in 1994. After a period of single releases and relative quiet, the duo disbanded in 1998.
