The Echoes was an American vocal trio formed in 1960 in Queens, New York City. The group consisted of Tommy Duffy, Harry Boyle, and Tom Morrissey, who had all been members of the Laurels. Their breakthrough came with the debut single “Baby Blue” (1961), which reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following this success, the trio released further singles, which include “Sad Eyes (Don't You Cry)” (1961), which reached number 88, and “Gee Oh Gee” (1961). The group continued to release singles through 1965, after which it was rebranded as The Scoundrels.
