Pedro Qualy (born Pedro Henrique Venturelli Antunes da Silva in São Paulo) is a Brazilian rapper and songwriter who came up as a DJ before stepping to the mic with the São Paulo crew Haikaiss, which he joined in 2008 and helped steer from underground battles to national stages. With Haikaiss, Pedro Qualy cut early independent albums on the group’s Ésseponto label and broke wide with the LP Teto Baixo (2017), home to the streaming hit “Raplord” (feat. Jonas Bento), followed by a major-label phase after the group signed with Som Livre and released Aquário (2020); along the way he stacked high-profile collaborations across Brazilian rap, including tracks with Rincon Sapiência, Projota, MC Lan, Diomedes Chinaski, Kawe and KayBlack that reinforced his double-time agility and punch-line focus. In parallel, Pedro Qualy began sketching a solo identity that leaned into melodic hooks and R&B textures while keeping the scratch-to-cypher roots visible; by 2024 he was actively preparing a solo catalog and publicizing standalone shows. His solo rollout accelerated in 2025 with his first EP Jet Lag and the WIU link-up “Papel de Parede,” promo’d alongside an official video drop, and continued that September with the single “Papo de Progresso,” positioning Pedro Qualy as a front-line soloist without severing ties to Haikaiss.
